Work has started on the restoration of a second coach bogie, this one is cobbled together from parts we had is store in the quarry.
Many of the parts are in a very poor condition which will require quite a lot of work, such as the cross shafts having new ends made, these carry the brake shoes.
The wheels are in quite good condition, other than some minor flats, these are removed on the lathe.
The routine of loco cleaning and preparation carries on, with a Driving Course coming up soon, we concentrated on two locos for this event.
With Helga on the turntable the opportunity was taken to give Milstead a clean around the chassis, not the nicest of jobs but it's definitely worth the effort.
