This Loco Simplex 20/28 ESK Works No. MR7498 built 1940 – ex Bolton Fell. The engine is a diesel 3 cylinder Deutz air cooled, electric start. New drive chain and sprockets, retyred, new brake blocks, Chassis extended front and rear – new redesigned cab with glazing front and rear. Cab floor and gear change mechanism needs to be built.
This loco was acquired over 20 years ago by the late Bill Best Snr and the late David Best. Nothing has been done for over 10 years. £5,000 was spent on the running gear and it has been store inside during our ownership. This would make an ideal project for an enthusiast. Offers in the region of £5,000 would be considered.
