Overview
Sunday 4th May | 10am – 4pm
Join us for the first Steam Event Day of the year at the Bredgar Railway, as our magnificent steam locomotives return to action, hauling traditional passenger carriages through stunning parkland and bluebell-filled woodland.
This is the one time of year when the woods alongside the line are carpeted with wild bluebells, making it one of the most beautiful journeys on the railway. Sit back and enjoy unlimited rides on our steam trains, running from Warren Wood Station to Stony Shaw and back again.
There’s plenty to explore off the rails too. The Engine Shed will be open, showcasing a fascinating collection of vintage tractors, locomotives, engines and cars, alongside our hugely popular and extensive model railway. Out on the main field, you’ll find visiting exhibitor engines, our resident American 105ft Aerial Ladder Fire Truck (climb the ladder if you dare!), plus fun tractor and trailer rides.
