Donor to BWLR, Harry Nash past away October 2025, RIP

Early in 2025 Harry Nash, of Upnor, Kent offered to donate some steel to the railway.  We collected it from a dockyard in Upnor.  The container he had was literally stuffed with tools, equipment and materials and he was struggling to let go of it.  He called us about 2 months later and asked if we could use the container and its contents, which he arranged to be delivered to us.  Our volunteers set about sorting it out and extracting anything we could fine useful.  What a goldmine, compressor, drills, and many other power tools and tons of timber and metals.   The container is now in use too.

He visited us several times in 2025 and clearly took great pleasure from how his donations were being used.  Sadly Harry passed away in October after a short illness.  His daughter, Samantha, has now donated the last of his power tools to the railway.  They will be put to good use in the restoration work we are undertaking.  Thank you Samantha and a big thanks to Harry – Rest in Peace.
