This week on the Garrett traction engine the cylinder cladding was reattached, it was certainly worth the effort to repaint and line it out, it looks very smart.
Other jobs from last week’s steaming was to redo a couple of the gaskets and fix some of the smaller pipe runs.
On-going jobs are Helga’s boiler which will have some work done on a couple of the washout plugs in the next few weeks, while waiting for that it’s been thoroughly cleaned of any flaking paint and rust and several new coats of paint have been applied.
Some of the spare coach wheels are having the tyres turned, and painted. Plus we are starting to prepare some of the locos for boiler steam testing.
But this week it’s the flowers that are the highlight…
…with Bobby enjoying the sun.
