Most of the work over the last few weeks in the workshop has been preparing three locos for the official steam testing, this will be completed in the next few weeks with Eigiau, Victory and Zambezi rejoining the fleet.
We have done our own steam testing to ensure all is well with the various door joints, mud hole covers and fittings. Zambezi's return is special as we started the 10 year overhaul during the first lockdown, which was a time of uncertainty for us all, but having something to concentrate on was very welcome and running her to do some testing was also special for us.
Other jobs has seen coach No4 back into traffic after a service, the gold tractor's engine is in the process of reassembling, and some new BioCoal has arrived which will need testing to see how it performs.
